Treatment performed by your Physical Therapist after the initial assessment has been performed. This may consist of "hands on" treatment, modalities, and or exercises. You will be provided a home exercise program to follow in addition to treatment performed.

Massage therapy is the treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders of the soft tissues and joints by manual and physical methods to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function to relieve pain and promote health.
Massage therapists manipulate the body’s soft tissues – muscles, tendons, and connective tissues in order to:

relieve pain,
help heal injuries,
improve circulation,
relieve stress,
reduce muscular tension,
improve lymphatic drainage, and
help improve the general wellness of clients.

Tanya received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2006 and has since developed a tremendous skillset, becoming a Certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS) practitioner in 2010 and achieving an FCAMPT designation (Advanced Diploma of Manipulative Therapy) in 2012. In addition to her clinical work, Tanya is an assistant instructor for the manual therapy postgraduate education system of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Prior to enrolling in post-graduate physical therapy studies, Tanya completed her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge (2002).

Tanya enjoys helping clients accomplish their rehabilitation goals and reach their maximum physical potential. Her treatment style is a combination of manual therapy, intramuscular stimulation (IMS) and functional exercise progressions. Her professional focus lies in the treatment of both spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal injuries, with a special interest in return to sport/activity and injury prevention.

Karissa recently completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree with distinction from the University of Calgary in 2021. The first two years of her undergraduate degree were spent at Red Deer College where she played on the RDC Women’s Hockey Team.

Growing up with a sports background and being a student athlete gave Karissa the foundation of an active lifestyle and ultimately drove her interest of the human body. Throughout her own injuries, Karissa developed an appreciation for physiotherapy, sparking her passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Karissa puts a strong emphasis on patient centered care, focusing on providing patients with the education to understand their injury and give them the tools and confidence for self-management.

Karissa has an active and evidence based treatment approach with a strong focus on exercise combined with manual therapy. Her goal is to help patients reduce their pain, return to their activities and overall build the resiliency to live a strong healthy life.

Outside of work, Karissa enjoys weight lifting in the gym, playing card/board games, and spending time with friends & family. In the summer, you can find her camping, golfing or playing slow pitch whenever she gets the chance. In the winter, she enjoys snowboarding, playing hockey on outdoor rinks and watching the Oilers.

Henry graduated from the University of Alberta in 2017 with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy and Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. He has pursued additional training in Acupuncture, Functional dry needling, Vestibular rehabilitation, and Spinal manipulation.

Anthony is a graduate of Makami College where he completed the 3000-hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Program. He is particularly passionate about massage therapy in the upper body; mainly the head, neck, shoulders, and arms. Anthony’s approach to massage therapy is very thorough; he likes to figure out exactly what is going on with the body before, after, and during treatment. He believes in educating his clients so that they better understand what needs to be done for them to regain a pain-free range of motion. Anthony is trained in Swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and basic dynamic cupping. Trent Graduated from the University of Alberta in 1992. He has owned the clinic since 1999. He completed his advanced certificate in manual therapy in 2000 and is a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Manipulative Physical Therapists. Trent has been a certified Gunn IMS practitioner since 2004. Graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences along with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001 with distinction. Prior to the University of Alberta, she attended San Diego State University on a golf scholarship. There she received the Big Red Award in 1995 for excellence in academics and athletics.

Keltie has completed all 5 levels of the Manipulative and Orthopedic Manual Therapy courses and in 2004 passed her intermediate certification examination. Also in 2004, Keltie completed her certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).

Keltie is a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified medical practitioner. She enjoys being able to combine her high-level knowledge of golf and 18+ years physiotherapy experience to assist her clients with their sport specific injuries.

Keltie enjoys running, swimming, skiing, curling, and golf. She has recently returned to competitive golf, winning the Edmonton Ladies Amateur Championship in 2017 & 2018 and maintains a 2 Handicap!
